We want to keep you in the loop with everything that\u2019s been happening at Street Angels this July. It\u2019s been a busy month filled with incredible community support, a mix of proud and bittersweet moments, and some serious challenges we need your help to face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Celebration &amp; Bittersweet Farewells<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Congratulations, Craig!<\/strong> We are thrilled to share that one of our amazing volunteers, <strong>Craig Kelly<\/strong>, has been selected to be an Escort at the upcoming <strong>Rose of Tralee<\/strong> (happening August 14th\u201318th)! We are immensely proud to have him representing our community on such a big stage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Best of Luck, Daniel:<\/strong> On a sadder note, we are saying goodbye to our fantastic volunteer, <strong>Daniel<\/strong>, who is moving to Dublin. In just the last six months, the demand for our services has nearly doubled. We are now serving almost <strong>100% more hot meals<\/strong> than we were half a year ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Reality on the Ground<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>We are running out of food:<\/strong> Within just 30 to 40 minutes of opening our doors, our hot food is completely gone. Having to turn hungry people away is breaking our hearts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Our funds are dangerously low:<\/strong> On top of the skyrocketing demand, our service van\u2014our literal lifeline\u2014required urgent, costly repairs that have virtually wiped out our cash reserves.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What We Urgently Need Right Now<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Tents &amp; Sleeping Bags:<\/strong> With the weather changing, emergency shelter items are desperately needed for those sleeping rough.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hot Food Supplies:<\/strong> If you are a supplier or a local business that could donate hot meals (even just once a week), please reach out.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Toiletries &amp; Hygiene Products:<\/strong> We are completely out of basic everyday toiletries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Essential Clothing:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>White socks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Men\u2019s underwear (<em>Medium, Large, Extra Large<\/em>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ladies\u2019 briefs (<em>Medium &amp; Large<\/em>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Drinks &amp; Treats:<\/strong> Bottled water, soft drinks, and treat bags containing sweets or chocolates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How You Can Support Us<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Please, if you can donate any amount\u2014big or small\u2014every single penny goes directly toward keeping our doors open and hot meals on tables.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you aren&#8217;t in a position to donate right now, <strong>please share this post<\/strong>.
