Hi everyone,
Hazel and all the team here! We want to keep you in the loop with everything that’s been happening at Street Angels this July. It’s been a busy month filled with incredible community support, a mix of proud and bittersweet moments, and some serious challenges we need your help to face.
Celebration & Bittersweet Farewells
- Congratulations, Craig! We are thrilled to share that one of our amazing volunteers, Craig Kelly, has been selected to be an Escort at the upcoming Rose of Tralee (happening August 14th–18th)! We are immensely proud to have him representing our community on such a big stage.
- Best of Luck, Daniel: On a sadder note, we are saying goodbye to our fantastic volunteer, Daniel, who is moving to Dublin. He has been an invaluable part of our team, and while we will miss him terribly, we wish him all the absolute best in his next chapter!

Heartfelt Thanks to Our Donors
We want to send a huge, heartfelt thank you to the corporate sponsors who stepped up for us this month:
- Crane Worldwide Logistics for their generous donation of shoes and socks.
- Cloudera International Limited (Penrose Dock) for donating 100 much-needed hygiene bags.
Your kindness keeps us going!

We Need Your Help More Than Ever
While we are beyond grateful for every donation, share, and kind word you’ve sent our way, we need to be completely transparent with you: we are facing a critical emergency.
The numbers are staggering. In just the last six months, the demand for our services has nearly doubled. We are now serving almost 100% more hot meals than we were half a year ago.
The Reality on the Ground
- We are running out of food: Within just 30 to 40 minutes of opening our doors, our hot food is completely gone. Having to turn hungry people away is breaking our hearts.
- Our funds are dangerously low: On top of the skyrocketing demand, our service van—our literal lifeline—required urgent, costly repairs that have virtually wiped out our cash reserves.
What We Urgently Need Right Now
- Tents & Sleeping Bags: With the weather changing, emergency shelter items are desperately needed for those sleeping rough.
- Hot Food Supplies: If you are a supplier or a local business that could donate hot meals (even just once a week), please reach out.
- Toiletries & Hygiene Products: We are completely out of basic everyday toiletries.
- Essential Clothing:
- White socks
- Men’s underwear (Medium, Large, Extra Large)
- Ladies’ briefs (Medium & Large)
- Drinks & Treats: Bottled water, soft drinks, and treat bags containing sweets or chocolates.
How You Can Support Us
Please, if you can donate any amount—big or small—every single penny goes directly toward keeping our doors open and hot meals on tables.
If you aren’t in a position to donate right now, please share this post. A simple share costs nothing, but it might reach someone who can offer a helping hand.
We love this community and know that, together, we can get through this tough stretch. We simply can’t do it without you.
With sincere thanks and gratitude,

Street Angels volunteers
